Shoosmiths Lender Services Group are strengthening their offering on car finance in a bid to win more business in this competitive sector. Clients of the group include financial institutions and banks in the UK and Europe, as well as manufacturer-owned motor finance companies and independent asset finance and motor finance companies .
The company has appointed Kevin Parker to head up the group’s collections and portfolio management team, specialising in motor finance . Parker has a quarter of a century’s experience in the motor finance and retail finance industries, and has joined Shoosmiths from Close Credit Management.
In another statement of intent from the company, Roger Potgieter has been promoted to partner and appointed to lead the group’s motor finance litigation and recoveries operation. He handles all areas of asset finance and Consumer Credit Act litigation and recoveries, and his team has recently won new clients and increased its motor finance litigation and recoveries.
Waine Mannix, partner and head of Lender Services Group, said Kevin’s brief is to develop and manage the Northampton-based collections team, and in particular grow the portfolio management side of the business, while Roger takes on an expanding motor litigation team with a growing workload. It all adds up to extra strength and depth in our motor finance operation.
