The boss of the European arm of General Motors has made it clear that he wants Opel and Vauxhall to take back the market. He wants to cut bureaucracy at the car companies by 50%, whilst plugging gaps in the Vauxhall and Opel ranges.
Both car marques have gaps in their range, with a lack of mini, electric and hybrid cars . The message of support came down from Nick Reilly, following a decision not to sell the carmaker last month.
Reilly was reported as commenting: "We need to take bold decisions and be held accountable for those decisions. By taking the right decision, we will reverse the downward trend in market share, we will return to profitability, we will have a brand that people want to buy and be associated with and we will lay the foundations of sustainable success."
