Motorpoint, one of the UK’s leading car supermarkets, has become the first to earn a SAF (Specialist Automotive Finance ) Approved accreditation from the Finance and Leasing Association.
The car finance sales seal of approval has been earned by Motorpoint’s 100-strong sales team who have spent the last month completing the online tests required to become SAF Approved.
The award can only be handed out once all members of motor dealership staff involved in the sale of finance have passed the SAF competence tests.
Commenting on the accreditation, David Shelton, managing director of Motorpoint, said: We have always worked tirelessly to ensure our sales force is among the most knowledgeable in the industry.
With SAF approval, we are confident that they will be able to discuss all finance-related issues with customers with even greater confidence in the future.
He added that customers are further reassured of the high standards of service at Motorpoint by the fact that the company is an appointed representative of ITC Compliance Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA).
Introduced by the FLA on 1 August 2009, SAF Approved status recognises a company’s commitment to increased professional standards and knowledge on motor finance .
