Fri, 02 Oct 2009

A number of car companies have come out in support of the car scrappage scheme extension, with Skoda UK heading the charge. The car manufacturer made it clear that it welcomed the Government decision to keep the scrapping scheme going by injecting more capital.

The Brand Director for Skoda, Robert Hazelwood, was reported in car finance news as commenting: "The announcement is great news for the industry and especially Skoda. The brand has now taken over 8,000 orders on the scheme and our retailers continue to offer great value to customers through our scrappage offers."

As well as the contribution made by the government, Skoda is offering its customers an additional 1,500 discount on top models, including the Fabia, Roomster and Yeti. Furthermore, the company is offering 2,500 pounds off Skoda Octavia vehicles .
