According to car finance news reports today a company that promised to match car sellers with car buyers is in the High Court following allegations of mis-selling their service.
Vehicle matching service Motor Help UK Ltd. Claimed to be able to link car sellers with car buyers. However, claims that buyers were already on the books turned out to be false and the company are being convicted of lying about their service.
The company reportedly went through sales adverts to contact sellers and offered to find them a buyer for a set price. The Insolvency Service made a thorough investigation into the company and found that many of their claims were unsubstantiated.
Money used to match a seller to a buyer would have been better spent by the seller on advertising their vehicle better and perhaps taking it in for a last minute valet . Buyers who spent out on the service would have been better off conducting an HPI check on a vehicle that they were interested in to check for outstanding vehicle finance and any other problems.
