Take care when buying a used car, AA say

Tue, 29 Jan 2008

AA Personal Loans have released a warning indicating that consumers looking for a used car should take care, and research exactly what they are buying.

AA Personal Loans, who offer products for a variety of loan reasons including car finance, have advised that people shopping for used cars should provide accurate registration documents. These should include the V5 form, as well as a service history.

The AA recommended that buyers should always look around and take a second opinion on any vehicle . Checking the internet for better deals and shopping around for car finance were also advocated.

The head of the company, Mark Huggins, reportedly commented: "One in four drivers will knowingly sell a second-hand car without revealing a known fault with the vehicle, so it's important that car buyers are vigilant no matter whom they are buying from."
