Competitive car finance needs a hard bargain

Following on from the uSwitch.com study yesterday that indicates thousands of UK motorists will waste millions of pounds by taking out non-competitive car dealer vehicle finance on new ‘08’ registration plates this march, other experts have warned consumers to drive a hard bargain and not get taken for a ride.

uSwitch, research, was reported yesterday, found that consumers could waste thousands of pounds on unnecessary interest repayments by choosing expensive dealer finance as opposed to the most competitive unsecured personal loans .

The head of personal finance at uSwitch, Mike Naylor, pointed towards several top tips or getting cheap car finance . These included shopping around for personal loans well in advance of finding a car, staying aware that 0 per cent car finance requires a big deposit, and always checking the size of the final payment.
