Nissan, the Japanese
automobile manufacturer, have recently announced their
intentions to develop a super-sports
car known as the GT-R. The car will pose a new and unique
challenge to
carmakers in
America and
Europe, who traditionally view
Nissan as a family and
four-wheel drive car maker.
The new muscle car, expected to be unveiled at the
Tokyo Motor Show next week, is apparently extremely
sophisticated. So much so, in fact, that maintenance workers in
dealerships around
Japan are being specially trained to service the
next-generation
vehicle . The vice president of Nissan, Takao Katagiri,
reportedly commented this week: The GT-R requires special
attention because its technology is so advanced. It also calls for
finesse in salesmanship because the
sales representative must deal with customers who are going to
be very demanding.
