According to a new announcement by the Driving and Vehicle Licensing Authority, the Finance &Leasing Association (FLA) has become a DVLA Accredited Trade Association (ATA.)
The news means that members of the car finance and leasing association that provide vehicle asset registration services will still have access to DVLA keeper data. The DVLA have announced the measure as a result of their increasingly heightened security.
The DVLA recently decided to restrict all of their keeper data, so that it is only accessible to accredited bodies. The level of identity fraud related to cars and vehicle ownership attracted criticism. The FLA represents car finance, credit and asset industries, and is composed of a number of motor trade members.
