Car finance sales up despite credit crunch

Tue, 06 Nov 2007

ACF car finance claim that the UK market for new car sales is strong and performing well, despite interest rate increases and the feared credit crunch.

Undaunted car buyers purchased around 419,000 units in September, largely due to the new registration plates . This confirms a stronger-than-expected UK vehicle market, keeping its head up despite increased financial pressure and a slowing economy.

A spokesman for ACF Car Finance reportedly commented: "Despite predictions that the car sales would fall in light of the recent credit crunch, we have in fact seen a small increase in the market. It’s impossible to know what will happen over the next few months, and yes, car credit may be affected along with other forms of borrowing, but we’re hopeful that the car retail industry will continue to prosper."

ACF Car Finance are a UK car finance company, offering secured loans, car loans and car credit.
