According to a recent survey, known as the Auto Express poll, Japanese car dealers have thrashed their European counterparts in ratings of who are the best and worst car dealers in the country.
The auto express poll surveyed readers, and asked them to rate different vehicle dealerships based on a number of factors that included customer care, cost of cars, technical knowledge and quality of service. Car finance was not rated.
The results indicate that dealerships selling Japanese cars were at the forefront, with Lexus claiming the best dealer for customer satisfaction award. Four out of the top five positions were occupied by Japanese carmakers. Skoda, Jaguar and Porsche were the only European brands to make it into the top ten.
At the bottom end of the scale, SEAT, Peugeot, Smart, Renault, Fiat and Alfa Romeo made up the all-European bottom six.
