New sat nav the ultimate car accessory

Those drivers who break the speed limit could keep their driving licence clean and their motor insurance premiums at a lower level, with a new type of satellite navigation system. The sat nav system will be released with a guarantee that the owner will never receive a speeding ticket.

The Rossini Navigator also has the ability to sense the 24,000 speed cameras that are located throughout the UK road system. The driver will be warned to watch their speed as they approach a speed camera. A further feature is to use the speed checker constantly – this could control driver speeds and help to protect car insurance premiums.

The supplier of the device, Car Part Direct, said: "What was needed was a first class satnav package with postcode search, turn-by-turn, door-to-door journey instructions and first class speed camera spotter – because we offer a guaranteed £60 cashback the Rossini had to be 100 per cent reliable."

The news follows findings by AA insurance that indicate that speed camera tickets could increase motor insurance premiums by up to 17 per cent.
