Biodiesel is already a regulated product, and can be used in pure form or blended with conventional diesel. Blends of between 5 and 20 per cent biodiesel are common, and it is being offered commercially in America.
Unfortunately, at this stage commercial biodiesel is more expensive than normal diesel, as the product is in its infancy. In some instances, it is matching normal diesel in cost and even becoming cheaper.
